Dr. Tatum Miles is a west side native of Detroit “Motown” Michigan. She discovered her passion for dentistry as a young 9-year old girl. She knew firsthand from her own experience that a confident smile can improve someone’s quality of life. From that moment forward, she set her heart on changing lives with healing hands. She is a proud Michigan State University Alumni obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 2011. In 2013, she received her Master of Arts in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University.
Dr. Miles’ lifelong dream came true to fruition she was accepted into the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry in 2017. She served as treasurer and president of the Student National Dental Association while completing her education there. She not only became the first dentist in her family upon graduation, but she also received the 2017 Vivere ex Missione Award for embodying Detroit Mercy’s purpose.
Dr. Miles opted to further strengthen her clinical abilities by completing a post-doctoral AEGD program via NYU Langone in Northern California after 9 months of private practice at one of Detroit’s best cosmetic practices. From 2018 until 2020, she worked as a general practitioner in Eureka, California, treating children, adults, and elderly patients. There, she discovered her specialty in the field of mobile dentistry, where she treated pediatric patients.
She relocated TX in 2020, amidst the worldwide pandemic, when she began to expand her horizons beyond dentistry. She began to travel and teach people about the benefits of investing and building generational wealth by generating various streams of income. She found that her love was not simply centered in dentistry, but also in her natural drive to assist people, enabling them to live their life to the fullest.
Dr. Miles is dedicated to assisting individuals in living the lives they desire. Brighter Smiles, PLLC was founded when she understood the significance of adaptability and the capacity to pivot in life. Dr. Miles wants to bring confidence and joy to smiles while ensuring that people are aware of the significance of oral health. She is known for her down-to-earth demeanor and outstanding chair-side manner.
